SUBSTRATES AND PAINT SYSTEMS

GLOBACRYL FAÇADE can be applied to all sound, dry, coherent exterior hydraulic substrates, after appropriate preparation according to the substrate to be treated.

Substrate preparation

Unpainted surfaces:
- Remove loose particles and efflorescence by brushing.
- Wash surfaces with a high-pressure water jet.
- If necessary, treat moss with POLYFILLA PRO S705; allow to act for at least 24 hours (repeat treatment if necessary). Brush dry to remove any residues of greenery, mould and algae.
- Rinsing is not necessary, as it will prolong the effect.
- Repair cracks and crevices with Polyfilla Pro X300.
- Defective joints will be hollowed out and replaced.
- Apply a coat of GLOBAPRIM FIX or GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM HYDRO to increase the durability of the overall system.
- Cellular concrete blocks: apply a coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO.

Previously painted surfaces in good condition:
- Wash surfaces with a high-pressure water jet.
- If necessary, treat with POLYFILLA PRO S705; allow to act for at least 24 hours (repeat treatment if necessary). Brush dry to remove any residues of greenery, mould and algae.
- Rinsing is not necessary, as it prolongs the effect.
- On new, absorbent or chalking surfaces, apply GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX.
- On existing waterborne paints (acrylic or latex) in good condition, apply GLOBAPRIM HYDRO
- On old alkyd-based paints (enamelled facade), apply GLOBACRYL FAÇADE directly as an adhesion primer.

Previously painted surfaces in poor condition:
- Remove loose coats.
- Wash surfaces with a high-pressure water jet. If necessary, treat foams with POLYFILLA PRO S705; allow to take effect for at least 24 hours (repeat treatment if necessary). Brush dry to remove any residues of greenery, mould and algae.
- Rinsing is not necessary, as it will prolong the effect.
- Repair cracks and crevices with Polyfilla Pro X300.
- Defective joints should be hollowed out and replaced.
- Apply GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX to new, absorbent or floury surfaces.
