TRIMETAL GLOBAPRIM HYDRO is a primer for exterior use.

It has excellent adhesion and considerably reduces porosity or absorption of the substrate.
This saves you money, since you need less finishing paint.

  • Significantly reduces porosity on new, porous substrates such as aerated concrete
  • Excellent covering power
  • Microporous
  • Enables easy substrate preparation, maximizes adhesion and increases the durability of applied systems
  • Increases the durability of applied systems.

Features and benefits

  • can be applied to inconsistent substrates such as concrete, cement, bricks, old paintwork, smooth substrates such as smooth concrete, clinkers, limestone bricks, etc.
  • Opacifying primer.
  • significantly reduces the porosity of new or absorbent substrates. Provides a sound base for finishing with latex or acrylic paints or decorative plasters.
  • is microporous and does not impede vapour diffusion of finishing coats.
  • allows easy substrate preparation, maximizes adhesion and increases the durability of applied systems.
  • can be applied to previously painted substrates and can be overcoated with most dispersion paints.
  • Slightly granular.
  • Low odor.
  • Unsaponifiable.

SUBSTRATES AND PAINT SYSTEMS

GLOBAPRIM HYDRO can be applied to all sound, dry, coherent exterior hydraulic substrates, after appropriate preparation according to the substrate to be treated. Remove saltpetre and dirt by brushing with a stiff brush.

Substrate preparation

laitance and saltpetre
- Brush dry with a hard brush.

Substrates characterized by the presence of moss, algae or fungi
- Treat with POLYFILLA PRO S705, allow to act for at least 24 hours (if necessary
- repeat treatment). Brush dry to remove any residues of greenery, mould and algae.
- Rinsing is not necessary, as it prolongs the effect.

New, porous or inconsistent substrates and aerated concrete
- Remove dust and apply a coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO.

Previously painted substrates
- Old, floury coats of paint: fix with GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM FIX
- Renovation: remove loose particles, wash off old coats, roughen and remove dust, apply a coat of GLOBAPRIM HYDRO.

Walls treated with whitewash
- Brush and apply 1 to 2 coats of GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM FIX depending on thickness.

Chipped paint
- Scrape and brush before applying GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX.

Finishing
- GLOBAPRIM HYDRO can be overcoated with dispersion paints and plasters.

Note
To fix powdery substrates, use GLOBAPRIM HYDROFIX or GLOBAPRIM FIX.
