Plaster for filling, partial levelling and surfacing

Instructions for use

  1. Substrate preparation: The substrate must be porous, clean and firm. Completely remove old latex, oil or synthetic paints.
Protect alkali-sensitive surfaces (glass, bluestone, etc.).
Clean old mineral paints and remove non-adherent parts.
Repair damaged surfaces (plaster, micro-cracks, etc.) with mineral products.
Neutralize traces of crystallization on bricks or concrete, or remove them mechanically.
Respect drying times before application: ceilings: at least 10 days. Concrete: at least 30 days.
High-porosity materials (cellular concrete, etc.) should be treated first with Biofa 1440 fixative.
To make very smooth surfaces (Gyprocq, etc.) more grippy, treat first with a coat of BIOFA 3055/3056.
Caution: glaze finishes on plasterboard panels should be treated first with BIOFA 3046, undiluted, to avoid the regular appearance of joints.
Apply a coat of BIOFA 3051 silicate paint, undiluted, in a thin layer, to avoid marks on the substrate.
Varnished surfaces should first be treated with BIOFA 3046 undercoat.
Lightly roughen (60 to 100 grit) and remove dust, then clean with a damp cloth (lukewarm water). Can be treated with BIOFA 1440 fixative after 24 hours. Remains of wallpaper paste may cause adhesion problems.
Important note: it is possible, when treating different surfaces with microporous paint systems, for traces of nicotine, lignin, rust, etc. to reappear after painting. The substrate should therefore be tested.
  2. Primer: stir well. Apply with brush or roller.
Add 5 to 10% BIOFA 1440 fixative or 10% water.
For very porous substrates, dilute only with BIOFA 1440 fixative.
    Important: Apply regularly!
Work the edges 'wet in wet'!
Use soft rollers that can pick up enough paint!
    Try it out!
During application and drying, ensure good ventilation.
    Do not work below 5°C.
  3. Finishing coat: as a stand-alone product or as a base for wall glazes, an additional coat is required.
  4. Cleaning: BIOFA 0600 brush cleaner and soapy water immediately after use. Remove stains with NATOLE BIOFA 4060.

Drying

Recoatable after 12 hours.
For glazing: after 24 hours.
