Instructions for use

  1. Substrate preparation: Substrate must be dry, clean, free of grease stains and prepared according to good practice.
    High-pressure cleaning may be necessary.
Thoroughly clean off old mineral paint.
    Brush off floury surfaces.
Protect surfaces sensitive to alkalinity (glass, bluestone, etc.).
Remove all traces of latex, oil or synthetic resin paint.
Cracks and micro-cracks in coatings should be filled with suitable coatings.
Sand and remove laitance by sanding or flowing.
Old façades should be cleaned with high pressure to remove all traces of dirt, mould, moss or algae. Facades formerly covered with plants should be cleaned mechanically or with heat (climbing plants). Otherwise, discoloration and/or staining may occur.
Surfaces that have been stripped should be lightly roughened (60 to 100 grit) and dusted (swept and then vacuumed), then cleaned with a damp cloth (warm water). Traces of wallpaper paste do not cling well to the paint.
Important notes: old surfaces treated with microporous products may show stains (rust, lignin, crystallization salts, etc.) or changes in color. Pre-test; test surfaces.
  2. Application: Stir well before use.
Apply one coat with a brush, roller or spray gun (Airless system).
Possibly apply a second coat to saturate the substrate further.
    Dilution with water is possible.
    Caution: test application beforehand.
During application and drying, ensure good ventilation.
Do not apply to surfaces exposed to direct sunlight (<35°c) in very hot weather.
  3. Cleaning tools: clean tools immediately with water and BIOFA 0600 brush cleaner, then with clean water.
Remove stains with NATOLE BIOFA 4060.
