TOOLS

- Brush
- Roller

PREPARATION
Wood must be bare, clean, dry and not greasy. Always round corners and sharp edges to ensure even coverage.
- Rough wood: sand with 150-grit sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface and remove dust. Protect against insect attack and fungal growth with V33 Universal Treatment or Garden Wood.
- Rough DIFFICULT WOOD (exotic, oak, larch, oiled or greasy...) : dilute the 1st coat with 10% water and apply an undiluted2nd coat (avoid too thick an application). On oily wood, degrease first with acetone.
- WOOD THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN LASURED: brush to remove loose parts, then sand with 150-grit sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface and remove dust.
- VarnISHED OR PAINTED WOOD: remove old varnish or paint using Special Wood Stripper or Universal Stripper V33, then sand the surface with 150-grit sandpaper.
APPLICATION
Ideal application conditions: between 12 and 25°C in dry, draught-free conditions.
- Stir Garden Wood Stain Classic vigorously with a long, wide stick before use, paying particular attention to the bottom of the pot, to ensure even distribution.
- Apply one coat in the direction of the wood grain, making sure to cover all hollows and edges. Leave to dry for 3 hours. Apply a2nd coat in the same way and leave to dry for 12 hours.
- Remove as much product from tools after use. Do not dispose of residues and washing water/solvents in the sink, toilet, sewer, garbage can... to avoid release into the environment.
TIPS
- On tannic woods (oak, chestnut), consider using a transparent anti-tannin undercoat or prefer a dark tint.
- The colorless variant is used only for maintenance on wood that has already been stained or to deconcentrate other shades in the color chart.
- If necessary, sand with 240-grit sandpaper between the 2 coats if the surface feels rough to the touch after the 1st coat.
- All shades in the color chart are miscible with each other.
- To store an opened jar, transfer the remaining product into a small, hermetically sealed container. Protected from frost,
Classic Garden Wood Stain has a long shelf life. - When using by spraying, be sure to wear appropriate gloves and clothing, and avoid breathing mists.
