TOOLS
As desired or depending on project configuration :
PREPARATION
Wood must be bare, clean, dry and not greasy. Always round corners and sharp edges to ensure even coverage.
- Rough wood: sand with 150-grit sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface and remove dust. Protect the wood against insect attack or fungal growth with
Traitement Universel or Bois de Jardin V33.
- Rough DIFFICULT WOOD (exotic, oak, larch, oiled or greasy...): dilute the 1st coat with 10% water and apply a2nd undiluted coat (avoid applying too thickly). On oily wood, degrease first with acetone.
- wood already stained: brush to remove loose parts, then sand with 150-grit sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface and remove dust.
APPLICATION
- Ideal application conditions: between 12 and 25°C in dry, draught-free conditions.
- Stir Xtreme Protect Door & Frame Stain vigorously with a long, wide stick before use, paying particular attention to the bottom of the pot, so as to homogenize the product. The milky appearance disappears as the product dries.
- Apply one coat in the direction of the wood grain, making sure to cover all hollows and edges. Leave to dry for 4 hours. Apply a 2nd coat in the same way and leave to dry for 12 hours.
Remove as much product as possible from tools after use. Do not dispose of residues or wash water/solvents in sinks, toilets, sewers, garbage garbage cans, etc., to avoid release into the environment.
