PREPARATION

Wood must be bare, clean and dry.

  • Rough or oiled wood: sand lightly with fin sandpaper and remove dust or effect with V33 Cleaner Degreaser.
  • VARNISHED or LASURED WOOD: sand and/or strip and dust to restore your untreated wood.

APPLICATION

  • Ideal application conditions: between 12 and 25°C, in dry weather.
  • Ready-to-use product.
  • Shake can vigorously before and during use. Pour Classic Oil into a wide-mouth container.

1st application: impregnate the wood generously, applying the oil with a brush or roller. After 20 minutes, wipe off any excess with a lint-free chiffon. The appearance should be matte after wiping. Leave to dry for 6 hours, then apply a2nd coat using the same procedure. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Check drying before using your furniture.

Maintenance: regularly during the season, or as soon as your wood becomes dull or bleached, apply a coat (local or general) of Classic Oil as described above.

Remove as much oil as possible from tools after use. Do not dispose of residues or wash water/solvents down the sink, toilet, drain, garbage can... afin to avoid release into the environment.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Check that the water is beading on the surface of the wood to ensure that it is sufficiently saturated.
  • As shown in the color representations above, due to the technical nature of White Spirit oils, and despite the fact that they contain no pigments, the "Natural" variant can induce a marked difference in color on wood that has tarnished or faded over time. Always carry out a preliminary test on an inconspicuous part of the wood to assess the final effect on your wood.
